Enhancing the lives of children through travel

About the Jorge Nation Foundation

Jorge Brouwer

Confronted with the tragedy of losing a friend, fiancé and brother, the Jorge Nation Foundation Inc. was established in May of 2011 in honor of Jorge Brouwer.

Jorge was an extraordinary person who had the rare ability to make life more enjoyable for all who knew him. In honor of Jorge, his passion for life, travel, and with the goal of making life a little better for those less fortunate, we started the Jorge Nation Foundation Inc. (JNF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. JNF's purpose is to raise funds to send children stricken with a terminal or serious illness on a once-in-a-lifetime all inclusive "Dream Trip" to a destination of their choice. JNF is extremely proud to partner with the region’s leading pediatric hospitals, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) for the purpose of referring qualified children and families for consideration. Jorge's passion was traveling to all parts of the world seeking new adventures. The Jorge Nation Foundation was created to extend his legacy and raise funds for those less privileged that also have a passion for life and travel.

Our Mission

Jorge Nation Foundation Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to raising funds to send children and their families on a once-in-a-lifetime all inclusive Dream Trip to a destination of their choice. Unlike other charitable organizations, JNF exists to enhance the lives of children through travel from South Florida who are or have been stricken with a terminal or debilitating health condition or illness. JNF is extremely proud to partner with the region’s leading pediatric hospitals, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) for the purpose of referring qualified children and families for consideration.
